"The past affects the present even without our being aware of it." Francine Shapiro
You don't have to take the journey to healing alone. I provide warm, compassionate and effective therapy for individuals struggling with painful memories and experiences. Drawing on years of clinical experience, I create a safe, supportive space where healing can unfold.

Trauma Informed Therapy
If you are dealing with trauma you deserve to find peace. I work with people carrying the weight of difficult experiences: childhood adversity, abusive relationships, overwhelming events that changed how you see yourself and the world. Maybe you don't even call it trauma; you just know you don't feel right. You're not sure you can feel better, but I have seen the difference the right support at a gentle pace makes.
Trauma can change the way you experience yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. Even long after a difficult experience has passed, you may find yourself feeling anxious, emotionally overwhelmed, constantly on guard, disconnected, or caught in patterns that leave you feeling stuck. These reactions are not signs of weakness—they are often the mind and body's way of trying to protect you.
Trauma therapy offers a compassionate space to gently understand these patterns and begin healing from the inside out. You don't have to relive every painful detail or move faster than you're ready. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels safe, helping you make sense of your experiences, reduce the emotional weight they carry, and develop a greater sense of calm, confidence, and connection. As healing unfolds, many people find they are able to respond to life with greater resilience, build healthier relationships, and feel more like themselves again.

EMDR
EMDR is a powerful, proven way of releasing you from the grip of painful emotional experiences.
Francine Shapiro, the creator of what is now known as EMDR, defines trauma by the impact it has on a person. "If it's a disturbing event that has had a lasting negative effect upon self and psyche, it is a trauma." Trauma is stored in our bodies and our brains, locked into our neural networks and our nervous system. Trauma leaves unprocessed memories trapped in us that can be triggered and cause us pain in the present. While some traumas may appear to be 'Big T' traumas, such as PTSD from combat, natural disasters, or assault, the impact of 'Little T' traumas such as childhood bullying, difficult breakups, emotional neglect or school/workplace stress can be just as potent and significant and deserving of healing.
EMDR taps into your own ability to heal and move from dysfunctional to adaptive. It allows you to at last unhook the emotional detritus of past experiences and memories from your life now. While the memory remains the negative emotional load and it's effect on your current day to day life is greatly diminished if not eradicated.
